Nancy Jamerson - LCSW

I am from Africa\Nigeria, by way of Alabama, Arkansas, and was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. I have lived in Denver, Colorado since August 1978. I am a Christian, I have been in the field of Social Work since 1974. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work, from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I have a Master of Arts in Social Work from University of Denver. I hold a license in Clinical Social Worker through Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. One of my main passions in life has been to do the work of social work; therapy, counseling, assisting others in navigating life issues, supporting families etc. We are one of the other necessary ‘Healers’ in this world.

I have worked in the Social Work Field for fifty plus years. Yes, older in years, but still younger at heart and wise in Spirit. Not jaded due to my years. There is not much in this life that shocks me. I still have a love for the work, and the people I serve. I have worked as Drug and Alcohol Youth Hostel Counselor, Supervisor, retired from Denver Human Services in Child Protection, Youth Services, and Adoption. Held an Adjunct Therapist position for Excelsior Youth Center, a School Social Worker at Changes Challenges and Images (CCI) /Amandla Charter School, Strides, LLC Drug and Alcohol Treatment as Master Level Counselor Intern, in Aurora, Colorado.

Currently, I am Semi-retired. Co-CEO/Founder of United Adoption Consultants, Incorporated, a Non-Profit Corporation. I work part-time as an independent CEO/Founder-Therapist for TJ’S Healing Space: A Space to Heal, in Denver Metro area. My style of therapy is Eclectic therapy which selects what is valid or useful from all available theories, methods, and practices. The primary Therapies I pull from is Cognitive Behavior, Reality, Client-Centered, and Biblical therapy. My goal is to see people healed of Life Traumas, to be the individuals they want to be, and were meant to be. I am a firm believer when life throws you lemons, make lemonade.
