Amanda Phannadeth is an independently contracted therapist with Forward Family Therapy. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting diverse populations across various settings. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2018, followed by her Master of Social Work in 2019. She has been practicing in a clinical role since 2022 and has worked in the mental health and social justice fields since 2016.

Throughout her career, Amanda has had the privilege of working with a wide range of populations, including adolescents and teens in residential treatment, adults experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, victims of crime, and, most recently, children and families impacted by significant trauma in community mental health. She is trained in the NeuroSequential Model of Therapeutics—a comprehensive, developmentally sensitive, and neurobiologically informed framework for understanding and addressing the impact of trauma on child development. She is also trained in Trust-Based Relational Interventions (TBRI).

While Amanda specializes in working with children, adolescents, and teens who have experienced significant trauma, she also supports adults seeking to build more secure relationships with themselves and others.

Amanda values collaboration in the therapeutic space and integrates a range of trauma-informed, somatic, relational, and evidence-based modalities to support her clients. Known for her warm, compassionate, and culturally sensitive approach, she strives to create a sense of felt safety in her work. She believes that individuals are doing the best they can with the tools they have and honors each client’s starting point while working with them to shift patterns that no longer serve them.

Amanda primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Play Therapy, along with other approaches tailored to meet each client’s unique needs.
