Misty is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, Registered Yoga Teacher, Meditation Coach and Animal Assisted Therapist. She specializes in trauma-informed, integrative, and experiential modalities working with youth and adults. Misty has provided therapy to clients in a variety of settings including community mental health, private practice, and community outreach.
She has experience working with individuals in the homeless community, victims of sexual assault, veterans and military families, substance abuse, system-involved youth, and provides parent coaching and couples counseling. She incorporates Narrative therapy with practices of Yoga, Mindfulness, Ayurveda, Somatic interventions, Bilateral Movement, Art therapy, Nature therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Animal Assisted Therapy, Nutritional and Herbal supports for wellbeing, and integrative approaches that honor the whole person. Misty will be adding Acuwellness and Acudetox interventions to support mental health and wellbeing to be available services in late summer.
