My name is Julie Bledsoe and I have been in the mental health field for six years after working a career in sports. My specialties lie within trauma, self-esteem, anxiety and depression. I work with clients ages 4 and up who experience a variety of struggles, and I am trained in TF-CBT, an approach to aid children and teens who have experienced trauma. A lot of my clients struggle with self-blame, self-care and creating/implementing boundaries. My number one priority is for my clients to feel comfortable. I take a laid-back approach that is fairly directive yet very empathic. Psycho-education and self-esteem work are major parts of my practice as I utilize these tools to empower my clients. I also focus on coping skills and the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviors (CBT-focused). I like to be transparent with clients and increase their comfortability by letting my own personality shine through. My goal is to empower clients by educating them, listening to them and guiding them to utilize their own strengths to achieve long-term satisfaction in life.
