Kim believes in people's innate ability to move toward healing and wholeness.
You might be here if you’re feeling disconnected from the truest parts of yourself-stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, and burnt out by all the things you have on your plate and all the demands on you. Or you might be feeling disconnected from those around you- whether it’s your child and the challenges they’re struggling with or the impact of past relationships on your current ones.
I am so glad you found your way here. From my years working in communities and schools with individuals from diverse backgrounds, as well as personal experiences, I have come to recognize the power of relationships to bring connection and healing. That is what I hope this space and our therapeutic relationship can be as we work together to help you reconnect with yourself and those around you.
I bring a client-centered approach to therapy. We will work together to identify and work toward your goals while also holding space for compassionate awareness of how much you’ve already done. I am trained in EMDR and child-centered play therapy, and my work is informed by interpersonal neurobiology.
I work with children who are struggling with anxiety, behavior challenges, depressed mood, and those who are struggling to cope with current or past stressful events. In working with children, I use play therapy to provide space for the creativity and bravery that children need to explore parts of themselves, solve problems, and build communication and regulation skills.
I also work with adolescents and adults processing trauma and those experiencing anxiety, daily life stressors, negative beliefs about themselves, and relational challenges.
I believe in people’s innate ability to move toward healing and wholeness, and I would be honored to join you in rediscovering that for yourself and your family.
