Phil Stone, therapist in Littleton, Colorado, has been a therapist for 20 years serving in a variety of settings: Inpatient, Residential, Outpatient and Private Practice. He brings a deep level of empathy and a high level of energy to his clients.
Phil uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and other Denver therapy procedures to help his clients reach their maximum potential.

Phil facilitates marriage counseling /marriage therapy and couples counseling using approaches outlined in “Getting The Love You Want” by Harville Hendrix and “Passionate Marriage” by David Schnarch. He also integrates the “Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work” by John M. Gottman PhD in his work with couples. Phil has also trained in brief solution focused therapy with Michele Weiner-Davis who authored “Divorce Busting.”
Phil also offers support for divorce therapy, divorce recovery and even counseling around infidelity issues using approaches outlined in “After The Affair” by Janis A Spring.
Phil also offers Family therapy using a variety of methods including the techniques of Carl Whittaker author of “The Family Crucible.” While engaging in family therapy Phil blends in the humanistic and person-centered styles of Carl Rogers. He also incorporates approaches from Fritz Perls and Gestalt Therapy helping clients get out of their heads and come to their senses.
Phil is also an expert in treating personality disorders and has attended training in Chapel Hill NC with Dr. Vann Joines PhD who created a dynamic and more client-friendly approach to helping those who struggle with personality disorders via “Personality Adaptations” that includes an online assessment tool to diagnose and treat personality disorders.

Phil Stone offers HIPAA-compliant, encrypted video therapy sessions through Westside Behavioral Care. In compliance with Colorado state licensing requirements, video sessions are only available to clients physically located in Colorado at the time of their appointment. Prior to your first session, Phil Stone will send you everything you need to join your secure video call.
