Our Values
All Are Welcome
We welcome people seeking support, healing, clarity, and change. Our therapists serve clients from many backgrounds, identities, ages, and life experiences.
Access Matters
Therapy should not be harder to schedule than it needs to be. We focus on availability, insurance access, and clear next steps.
Fit Matters
The right therapist can make a meaningful difference. That is why our scheduling process considers specialty, age served, location, teletherapy, insurance, and appointment availability.
Therapists Should Be Supported
Westside helps therapists reduce administrative barriers so they can focus more fully on providing care. For providers interested in partnering with Westside, visit our Grow With Us page.
Dr. Thomas R. Giles, Psy.D.
Westside Behavioral Care was founded by Dr. Thomas R. Giles, Psy.D., a clinical psychologist with 20 years of clinical experience before moving into an administrative leadership role with Westside. Dr. Giles specialized in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and bulimia, published on psychotherapy and related topics, and served for a number of years as executive director for Cigna Behavioral Care of Colorado.
Dr. Giles is also the author or editor of three books, including Cognitive-Behavior Therapy: A Restructuring Approach, Managed Mental Health Care, and Handbook of Effective Psychotherapy. His background in clinical care, managed care, and psychotherapy effectiveness helped shape Westside’s focus on access, quality, insurance, and therapist-client fit.
Past Awards & Quality Recognition
Westside received PacifiCare’s “Top Therapists in Denver” rating 4 years in a row.
As part of a quality assurance program, PacifiCare tested Westside’s therapists against hundreds of others in a multi-state region. PacifiCare asked patients to fill out a scientifically-validated survey which measured how they were doing after receiving care. Westside won the award for best clinical results all four years the program was in existence. PacifiCare honored Westside with several awards, commemorative plaques and congratulatory letters. Westside Behavioral Care provides Denver area therapists, licensed clinical social workers, psychologists and licensed professional counselors who go through background, licensing and education checks and meet ongoing performance standards.
