My name is Kristin Stefanatz-Rainey. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC), and have been in the field for eight years. I became a therapist because I am passionate about connecting with others, helping them to grow, reach their potential, and simply live a satisfying and more fulfilling life. I have worked in community mental health, and have experience working with clients from all walks of life. I have provided counseling for clients with grief/loss, life transitions, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, anger issues, and stress.

I offer a warm, nonjudgmental approach with my clients, where they feel heard and validated. I will collaborate with you to tap into your strengths to promote change. I adapt my approach to meet the needs of my clients, using a client-centered approach often combined with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). I will help you identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are not helpful in your life and find healthier ways to deal with these situations. We can process challenging situations in your life and utilize tools to better manage these.

I specialize in working with people who are grieving a loss, who are going through another type of life transition, or who are often feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, sad, or alone. I appreciate when you share experiences and concerns with transparency and are motivated for change.  I am excited to help support you on your life path!

Kristin Stefanatz-Rainey offers online therapy sessions through scheduled appointments. All Westside providers have access to HIPAA compliant and secure teleconferencing software to protect client privacy. Instructions to access a scheduled session will be sent directly by the provider leading up to the appointment.
