As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist working in the field since 2003, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in schools, summer programs, in homes, a parenting supervision center, in residential treatment, in walk-in crisis, in hospitals, crisis stabilization units, in outpatient clinics, and private practice. I integrate trauma-resolution with play and Art Therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and Trauma-informed Yoga. My studies at Northwestern University and Naropa University offer a wide range of interventions and theoretical frameworks, from evidence-based protocols for trauma, to more experimental, somatic, and expressive strategies, including and inviting spirituality and depth for personal development.
I love to meet my clients where they are, and where they long to be. What are the attachment & relationship patterns, the invisible obstacles, the true strengths? What are the mysteries keeping us from living fully, from connecting to our partners, families, our selves? What keeps us stuck? And perhaps most importantly, what frees us to live the purpose we are here to fulfill? Together, we’ll decide how to zero-in on specific treatment goals (and those for children, tweens, adolescents, and families). We’ll choose whether or not to include physiological nervous system practices, communication skills, developmental psychology (ages and stages), new insights & self-knowledge, relationship research and tactics, crisis resolution, as well as focused work with the body & nervous system. Whether we’ll delve into play, art, archetypes, spirituality, and intergenerational healing. My training and experience in Transpersonal Psychology and Art Therapy also offer a range of out-of-the-box possibilities for crisis, insight, and growth.
