I believe that understanding and processing our struggles taps into our strengths and assists us in moving forward.
We all go through stressful and trying times, and I work collaboratively with individuals to help them get through such times. Whether you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or the many other common difficult emotions and life experiences, I believe we can all overcome challenges.
Utilizing an eclectic approach to the treatment of mental health, including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, and Positive Psychology, I believe that understanding and processing our struggles taps into our strengths and assists us in moving forward. I often utilize creative activities suited to each individual in tandem with traditional talk therapy, as some things are better able to be expressed without words.
I utilize an intersectional lens when conceptualizing what different areas may be impacting an individual. I am an advocate for equity and social justice, which is an important value I hold when serving others, as you are the expert on your own story and life experiences.
I am open to working with individuals of all backgrounds and ages, and take pride in cultivating a safe space for everyone I come into contact with. I look forward to helping you get to a place where your mind can shine!
