I utilize a compassionate approach to counseling while integrating humor, empowerment, and challenging questions to assist you with developing awareness and moving forward from feeling stuck. Whether you are experiencing difficulties with depression, drug and alcohol use, relationship issues, traumatic events, work/life balance, life transitions or meeting your general wellness goals I can help. I truly believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to become the best version of themselves and enjoy every aspect of their life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing among other treatment modalities in an integrated and collaborative approach to assist you with improving your wellbeing in a way that is right for you.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addictions Counselor with eight years of experience in the field of behavioral health. I specialize in assisting individuals and couples experiencing substance use issues, past trauma, depression, and relationship issues. Utilizing knowledge of neurobiology, general wellness, mindfulness practice, and sleep hygiene I focus on treating the whole person in order to assist you with meeting your goals for personal growth and development.
I received my Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado and my Masters of Social Work from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work in 2011. I also completed training and practice hours in order to obtain my license in addiction counseling in 2016. Through work with Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Denver Health, and UCHealth CeDAR (Center for Dependency, Addiction, and Rehabilitation) I have gained extensive experience assisting individuals who experience both mental health and substance use issues.
My practice is located in the City Park neighborhood in Denver, CO and is easily accessible to the great Denver metro area with quick access to both I-25 and I-70.
