Molli Davidson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has completed her EMDR Level I and Level II training. She has been in the mental health field for over 15 years and has worked in a variety of settings. Molli enjoys working with children (7 +), teens, adults, and families. She understands that therapy can be a vulnerable situation and aims to provide professionalism with a non-judgmental and caring attitude toward her clients.

Molli holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She finds that studying Marriage and Family Therapy has given her an understanding of the impact that the family system and other external factors have on emotional health. She applies a certain awareness into her practice to help clients to better their relationships by creating personal boundaries, learning healthy communication, and gaining a new perspective of family patterns. Molli also values her training in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and TF-CBT (Trauma focused – Cognitive Behavior Therapy). She sustains a trauma lens when helping clients to manage emotions and unhealthy behaviors. Molli finds that the trauma lens helps her to see the “whole picture” and uses these techniques to help clients gain insight to feel empowerment and relief.

As a professional counselor, Molli incorporates a variety of treatment techniques into her practice including: CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), play therapy, and systems/family therapy. In the past, Molli has served clients in a community mental health setting as a Child and Family Therapist where she worked in crisis stabilization and in-home family therapy, out-patient services, and in school-based programs. Molli has also worked with children and adolescents in residential programs and a short-term crisis stabilization program. She also served the adult population in a state psychiatric hospital. Molli is genuine in her approach to serve her clients and finds balance in both relationship and technique.
