Joe Barfoot - LCSW
Joe Barfoot is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW with over 30 years of experience in therapy with children, adolescents, adults and families. He is originally from the Kansas City area where he was a Supervisor of an adolescent unit at the internationally known Menninger Children’s Hospital in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work and was the Director of Child & Adolescent Services at Bethesda Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He then became a Clinic Supervisor at Kaiser Permanente’s Highline Mental Health Clinic. Since leaving management Joe has devoted all his time to working directly with clients.
Joe sees a wide age range and has expertise in the areas of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADHD, Behavioral Disorders, Family Stress, Work Related Stress & Grief & Loss. He also has a particular interest in the area of technology and impact on children’s social development.
Joe places a lot of emphasis on initial evaluation & assessment and uses a strength based approach to his work with individuals. His overall goal in therapy is to help individuals of all ages reach their potential and live a meaningful and satisfying life.
