Alison Sanvick

Welcome! I’m so happy you’re here. Acknowledging and accepting you could use help is the first step on your journey to wellness. I have had the honor of working with many clients from many walks of life, all sharing one thing in common: wanting to achieve some form of growth and forward movement in their lives. I look forward to exploring what “getting better” means to you. To do this, we’ll explore how your past experiences, relationships with others, values, and core beliefs are showing up in your present life. Throughout our time together we will work as a team creating a roadmap to achieve the growth you seek and deserve. I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” theory in therapy; I am comfortable and committed to adjusting my therapeutic approach to best assist you in meeting your individual needs.

Honoring the idea that the relationship between client and therapist is the foundation of success in therapy, here is a little about me:
My clients have described me as: “consistent, reliable, and safe”, “challenges me in a supportive way”, and “empathetic and helps me with personal accountability”.

After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree and spending a few years working in the advertising/technology field, I realized I was feeling unfulfilled, operating on empty, and working for a cause I did not find meaningful. I ventured West to pursue my passion of helping others to complete my Master’s of Counseling from Regis University. In my counseling career, I have worked with clients struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and severe and persistent mental illnesses. I have had the pleasure of working with clients from many different backgrounds and cultures, including diversity in sexual orientation, gender and gender expression, age and generation, race and ethnicity, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Born and raised in the Midwest, I love spending time outdoors. Most weekends you can find me somewhere near a river in the mountains, fly fishing and camping. I’m a fan of laughing, trying new things, and spending time recharging with family and friends.
