Struggling with drug or substance use can feel isolating, overwhelming, and hard to talk about, but you’re not alone. Whether it’s alcohol, prescription medications, marijuana, or other substances, addiction often starts as a coping tool and gradually becomes a source of distress, shame, and disruption. Many people with substance use concerns also experience anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges that add to the complexity of their situation. You may feel stuck in a cycle you didn’t choose, unsure how to get help that actually works for you.
Therapy can be a powerful step toward recovery, without judgment. Westside Behavioral Care’s therapists use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to address both the substance use itself and the underlying emotional pain that drives it. You’ll receive support in identifying triggers, building healthy coping skills, repairing relationships, and creating a plan for lasting change, at a pace that feels right for you. Appointments are available in person across the Greater Denver Area, including Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Boulder, and Littleton, or through secure online therapy statewide. All of our therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many are also credentialed with other insurance plans. You can browse available therapists by specialty, insurance, location, and age to find the right fit for your needs. You can also call us at (303) 986-4197 or email info@westsidebehavioral.com for personal assistance scheduling your first session.
